Big show coming up! On March 18, I'll be back in San Francisco at the Hotel Utah with my all-star band - Jim Bogios (of Counting Crows) on drums, Jerry Becker (of Train) on bass, Max Delaney on electric guitar and Jeff Symonds on keys. My good friends all. We're super excited to get up on-stage and play for you, and even more excited to be sharing the bill with Painbirds, featuring Charlie Colin and Tom Luce! Check out the shows page for more details and get your tickets ASAP as this show will sell out!
On Monday, November 21, I'll be hitting stage 1 of Rockwood Music Hall with some good friends of mine - Megan Slankard, Jeff Campbell and Heidi Merrill. We'll be doing an "in-the-round" session from 7 - 9pm, trading songs, stories, existential howls of cosmic pain, etc. It promises to be an uplifting evening! Okay, maybe not uplifting...but at the very least it promises to be an evening...which is something.
The band and I are returning to Rockwood Music Hall (stage 1) for a Friday night show - July 22nd at 7pm. I'll be joined by Olivia on violin/vox, Angela on piano, Dimitri on bass and Ben on drums. Should be a hot time! Hope to see you there.
It's been way too long, San Francisco! That all changes on May 27 - I'm very excited to be coming back to The City by the Bay for a show at my old local, The Royale. I'm also very excited to be joined on-stage by some good friends (and JSB members) who also happen to be in a few bands you may have heard of: Jim Bogios (of Counting Crows) on drums, Jerry Becker (of Train) on bass and James Deprato (of Chuck Prophet's Mission Express) on electric guitar. I'm trying to play it cool, here, but...DAMN! That's kind of insane.
Another good friend, Rick McKay kicks the night off. And, be sure to stick around for a special late night set from The F@#cking Beatles! Can't wait to see all of my San Francisco friends again.
Coming off the heels of a really fantastic show at Rockwood in January, we'll be back at Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 1) on Saturday, March 5 at 6:00 pm for another full-band set featuring Olivia Bloom on violin/vox, Dimitri Moderbacher on bass and Ben Grant on drums! Check out the Calendar page for all the details. Hope to see you there!
Thanks to everybody who came out to my birthday show a few weeks back! It was such a success that the band and I will be back at Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 1) on Saturday, January 16 at 4:00 pm for our fist show of 2016. Check out the Calendar page for all the details. Hope to see you there!
I'm taking a break from child rearing and dusting off the old guitar to play my go-to venue, Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 1), on Saturday, December 5 at 5pm sharp. Not only that, I'll be celebrating a birthday! My birthday! So come all, be merry, and bask in the glow of my newly older and wiser self. Hope you can make it.
Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 1), 196 Allen St., New York, NY
First and biggest show of the year announced! I'm thrilled to be making my Stage 3 debut at Rockwood Music Hall on Friday, March 27 at 11:30 PM. I'm capping off what promises to be a huge night of music at Rockwood with my good friends Megan Slankard on Stage 1 at 8 PM and Jeff Campbell on Stage 2 at 9:15 PM.
I'll also be joined on Stage 3 by some other amazing friends including my former San Francisco bandmate and partner-in-crime, Max Delaney! A Joel & Max reunion - I can't wait. Check out the Calendar page for ticket info!
I'm back at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 1 for a late night Sunday show - solo! It's been awhile since I've done a solo show. I'll be using the opportunity to bust out a bunch of new songs. Hope you can make it.
Can't wait until the band and I perform at The Gettysburg Fest on Friday, June 13 as part of their "The Boys are Back in Town" show! We hit the stage at 5:45 and will be followed by fellow Gburg natives Preston Hull and Trevor Jones w/Molehill. It's a free show on a big outdoor stage on the campus of Gettysburg College. It promises to be a fantastic night. Check out The Gettysburg Fest's website for the details on my show, and of all of the other awesome events. There is a TON of stuff going on, so check it out if you can!
